It started with a needle and thread.

My mom taught me to sew before I ever took home economics. In class, we made Hawaiian shirts. By 11th grade, I was sewing my own homecoming and prom dresses—and falling in love with the feeling of turning an idea into something I could hold.

Over the years, that love has taken many forms: sewing, cooking, baking, crafting, and dreaming up something special for a party, shower, celebration, or tablescape. If there was a chance to make something, I was usually the one volunteering.

Making room for a new chapter.

For a long time, I resisted selling what I made. I worried that turning something I loved into a business might take the joy out of it.

Eventually, I took a leap of faith. The Knick Knack Lab is my way of sharing that creativity with you while allowing something I love to contribute financially to my life. The tools and designs have grown, but the heart behind them is the same: I love making things that feel special.
